Ruben Julian Gonzalez is a Los Angeles–based Senior Apparel Designer and creative with more than a decade of experience spanning performance, lifestyle, luxury, and fashion. His work sits at the intersection of sport and culture, with a focus on building distinctive product through storytelling, collaboration, and a strong understanding of the consumer.

Currently at ANTA, Ruben serves as a senior design lead within the U.S. Design Center, helping shape the brand’s global apparel direction across basketball and lifestyle. Working closely with Kyrie Irving and his creative team, Ruben leads apparel design for the Hélà universe. From early concept and seasonal storytelling through range building, product creation, and global alignment. His work has included internationally presented collections, special projects and capsules, and collaboration across design teams in the U.S., China, Korea, and Japan.

Previously, Ruben had an acting role as Senior Apparel Designer for adidas x IVY PARK, where he worked directly with Beyoncé and her creative team to develop globally recognized collections merging high fashion, performance, and sportswear. Managing multiple collections simultaneously, he helped translate creative direction into extensive apparel ranges while overseeing product from concept through final execution.

His career has also included H&M Music & Partnerships, where he developed collaborative product with artists and cultural partners, such as Dua Lipa, and Dr Woo, as well as earlier experience across independent and luxury fashion, including Proenza Schouler and Band of Outsiders.

Across these experiences, Ruben has developed a practice rooted not only in apparel design, but in creative direction, collaboration strategy, range building, and translating cultural ideas into product. He is available for select consulting and creative partnerships with brands, founders, artists, and teams looking to develop a stronger product point of view or build new apparel concepts from the ground up.

Ruben currently lives and works in Los Angeles.
